Our awards are beautiful and locally made. The awards go to the top three finishers in each age division – and our age divisions are in 5-year increments for the Boulder Marathon and the Boulder Half Marathon. The 10 Kilometer, being a new event and having less runners, features the same awards as the marathon and half marathon, however they will be given in 10-year increments.

To compete in the Boulder Marathon, the runner must be at least 16 years old on race day.

To compete in the Boulder Half Marathon, the runner must be at least 16 years old on race day.
(and waiver must be signed by parent or guardian if 16 or

To compete in the 10K, the runner must be at least 14 years old on the day of the race (and a waiver must be signed by parent or guardian if 16 or
under).
In our effort to recognize the achievements of runners that win their age divisions, the Boulder Marathon will award a free 2010 entry for the winner of each age division in the 2009 Boulder Marathon and Boulder Half Marathon – in both the men's and women's fields. Also, the overall winners of the 2010 Boulder Marathon and Boulder Half Marathon (male and female) each receive $500 in prize money.
