Boulder Marathon Outreach

Reaching out to its local community is something every major event should attempt to do. In 2008, The Boulder Marathon made a grant to the local organization Leave No Trace, Center for Outdoor Ethics. In 2007, the Boulder People's Clinic and Family Learning Center were involved with the event. In 2009, the Boulder Marathon will once again work with various local charities in Boulder County. The photo below is from the AT Cure organization in 2007. The young man below was pushed in his wheelchair the full 26 miles to raise awareness for their organization.
